1~ Mural 2012: Monday, Day of Planning

On Monday, September 17th, we (my helper, Brenda, and I) looked at the bare space in the church basement, measured the walls, discussed ideas and technical necessities, then went and bought latex paint. The walls needed to be sanded, spackled, and Kilzed,® which Brenda planned to do that night. I photographed the walls and did some preliminary sketching on paper.

Brenda said that she could roll a basecoat of grass and sky if I picked the colors and decided about where to lay the paint, so I did that. The walls needed quite a bit of TLC, Kilz® and base-coating, and she worked hard to get it done. Meanwhile, I had a lot of planning and sketching to do.
